  I always look forward to my sets at Balticon.
There are often things I can play at Balticon that 
are appreciated on a level that no other audiences
can.  No where else that I play would it be considered
normal and _un_remarkable that my set included: 
-Talking Animals
-Not only parody but serious explorations of period muscical 
styles
-Vikings
-Hobbits
-Pirates
-Inebriates
-Space Travellers
-Muppets
-Music to cry into your towel by
-Hippies
and a Bear!

  The Lute got a LOT of love this weekend, not just in my
set, but during my desperate rehearsals beforehand and my
impromptu noodlings the rest of the weekend.

  Also noteable is that folks are starting to learn some of
my originals well enough to produce some pretty audible 
singalongs on the choruses.  Some of them were written with 
exactly that in mind, so it's satisfying when an Evil Plan(tm) 
comes together.

  The room I performed in was *nicely* filled!  (which helped
with the Evil Plan(tm) of course), but it was also delightful to
find a good number of folks hearing me for the first time and
many people wanted cards and to purchase CDs.

  Thanks to everyone who came out!  It's my finest, most savoury
joy to play for people, and to do so in person is superfinest.
